Our mandate is progression, our goal is to own the world, and then the universe. If we keep working at it there's no limit to what we can accomplish - like becoming a CEO of a multinational corporation, or a clown at a circus.

RAIDING IS BACK-Upated June 22/11

ponkyjuice, Feb 14, 11 1:10 AM.
Please check the Raiding Group roster under the "Information" tab on the left hand side of the home page.

The weather is nice and people are playing outside more, rather than WoW. However, this past week there seems to be a new excitement about raiding.

We can always have impromptu raids when people are up for it.

REMEMBER - IF YOU DO 25 MAN CONTENT, YOU WILL BE SAVED TO THE 10 MAN BOSSES. DON'T GET YOURSELF SAVED IF YOU WANT TO BE WITH THE REGULAR 10 MAN GROUP

PLAYER EXPECTATIONS:

-DPS should be doing at least 10k, and should have an OS that could help the raid on certain fights such as better AOE.
-Healers should be doing at least 10k hps, and more closely hitting between 12-15k hps.
-Tanks should have at least 150k hp, and should have a DPS or healing OS.
-Please be sure you have maximized your:

  abilities,
  rotations,
  when to pop cool-downs,
and that you're glyphed, enchanted and gemmed properly.

Go to http://www.askmrrobot.com > takes the thinking out of getting your hit cap, gemming, enchanting, etc.

-
Select under "Options": "Tier 11 raids" and "don't include expensive stuff" (unless you have 6 maelstrom crystals), -Then press "Optimize" near the upper right hand side.

You can play with the weights - how much haste you want over crit, etc. Nothing is in stone, but I have found for myself, it did a great job in improving my dps, and hit capping me in the most optimized place.

Also, you'll need to do it every time you get a new piece of gear.

Internet forums are easy to access and don't take long to find out what could be better to enhance your playing skills.

Or, model yourself after a player from a top guild:

RAID RULES:
-Please show up if you sign up as Accepted.
-If you sign up and don't show up and leave a hole in the raid group, the raid will be cancelled. We plan to progress, so don't leave your guildies raidless. That's just mean. Plain, ol' mean.
-Please be on time, and early whenever possible.
-Please, for GODSAKES, don't start a heroic 15 min, or even a half hour before raid time. Really, I mean... REALLY DOOOD?
-Please READ UP ON FIGHTS AND BE PREPARED. (Check the Member forums for fights... to be updated shortly. For now, look up tankspot.com and their 10 man content.)

LOOT RULES:
All BoEs that drop in raids will be sold at a discounted rate (25% off lowest auction house price) to guild members. This money helps fund the guild bank. Effigy's guild bank funds goes toward improving Raiders' main spec gear through gems, enchants, roughly 100g repairs on raid days, BBQ feasts, and eventually will pay for flasks.

The guild bank also will buy herbs from guildies to help make flasks and pots.

One MS win per boss, then OS, then if no one else wants it you can win a second item off the same boss.

Alright. Thanks!

Effigy's Promotion Guide

ponkyjuice, Jul 17, 10 4:42 PM.
When joining Effigy, we look for people who are kind and supportive, and fun to play with. We're a social guild that is about raid progression, however, not a hard-core raiding guild.

When you join Effigy, you start as an Initiate. You must be in the guild as an active member (be on and around at least a couple times a week, playing with other guildies) for at least a month until you can become a Member.

A Member grants you a little more bank access and daily repairs.

After being a Member and you raid with us at least 2x a week, you will be promoted up to Raider status which gives you access to about 100 gold on raid days for repairs, along with more bank access such as receiving gems and enchants that are provided for your main spec when you acquire new gear, along with flasks and food for Effigy-run raids.

Raid Leaders will be responsible for doling out the flasks and feasts.

If you choose not to raid, you will either remain at Member status, or be promoted to Veteran. You must be level 85 to be Veteran.

The guild bank is used for raiding and raiding supplies, and not for buying mounts or gear.
